New Years Resolutions!

It may be 4 days before Christmas (squeals of excitement!), but I thought I would share my New Years resolutions with you early. The resolutions which I talk about on this post will be about my blog, but in a post at the start of the new year, I will talk about my personal resolutions. So here goes...

  1. Post regally/to a schedule: I realize, since I started this blog in September, I have posted 9 posts (prior to this one). If I were to upload one every week since the week I started, you would have read 14 posts from me. I feel bad for you who read my blog and expect a post from me every week which i haven't been providing. Next year, I plan to have a schedule for when I upload and that you will get at least one post a week. Some weeks you may be lucky and get two!
  2. Pictures: Not many of my posts include pictures of products which I am talking about, however, in the new year, I will put pictures up on all my posts so you can get a good understanding of what the product looks like, rather than imagining by using my explanations (which we all know are not very good).
  3. Replying to comments: There is a bit of controversy around this topic. Should you reply to comments? If you do, how soon should you reply? I know, if you have a big, popular blog with lots of people reading it, then it is difficult to reply to every single comment, but I have only just started out in the blogging world so I have a handful of readers. It is easy for me to respond to every comment. You may asking to yourself now, but why have you got relying to comments as one of your new years resolutions if you find it so easy? The reason why it is one of my resolutions for my blog in the new year is because I am not the quickest at replying to comments on my blog which I feel really bad for because they have taken time out of their day to read MY blog out of all the blogs they could of read. As well, I feel that if you reply to comments which people have posted on your blog, you can find common ground with them and then following posts on your blog will suit their interests.
I hope you have enjoyed this post and it has given you an insight into what you can expect off me in 2016! If you have anything else you think I could do to improve my blog in he new year, please feel free to leave the suggestions in the comments below and I may just do them! What are your new year resolutions for 2016?

Christmas Decorations!!

You lucky devils have got two posts from me this week. It must be coming up to Christmas or something!! If you want to see my other post this week (Christmas and Winter look) click here.
So in this post I am going to be showing you how our house is decorated for Christmas.

I thought this was the best place to start: a selfie of me getting in the Christmas spirit :-)!!
It is not one of my favourite selfies that I have ever took but it is not one of my worst. Oh, and it doesn't have a filter on it.

This is our Christmas tree. Unfortunately, it is not a real one and I really like the smell of real ones. It is still really nice.
The colour scheme for the tree is red, silver and green. I snuck in two little baubles which I liked; they were a Minnie and Mickey Mouse.

Underneath the tree, we put fake presents underneath to give it a homely feel. Once we begin receiving presents off friends and family we put the presents under here so they are all in one place. We will then sort them out into who's is who on Christmas Eve so in the morning, we don't have to mess around with presents and we can just open them.

Finally, we have this little countdown chimney which I love. You pull out the stick to reveal what the date is and then Santa travels down the chimney. Every
year, I have to put this out because it is like one of my favourite things.

There is more decorations we put up but I didn't want to bore you with all my descriptions and bad quality pictures.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at how I decorate the house for the Christmas season. We still have a couple more decorations to put up such as lights so I may put up a mid-week post of them.
In the comments, I would like you to write what you put up for Christmas.

Christmas and Winter Look

With today being exactly 1 month until Christmas, I thought this was the perfect time to tell you my go to Winter/Christmas look. What I wear make-up wise on Christmas day is usually similar to what I wear throughout Winter so that is why I am putting both together.

1) I've never worn foundation so I only use a concealer. The concealer which I use all year round is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the colour Fair (the lightest shade there is). This is an amazing concealer which is very easy and simple to blend with your fingers or a brush. Personally, I prefer using a brush because it is less messy.

2) I then apply my bronzer, blush and highlighter from my Tanya Burr Rosy Flush cheek palette. The bronzer in this palette is a perfect match for my skin tone. Naturally, I have pink cheeks so blush doesn't usually work successfully with me because it looks like I've been smacked around the face, however, with this blush, that doesn't happen because it is a light pink. I had never used a highlighter before, but the highlighter in this palette is amazing and gives a really nice shine to the skin.

3) The look I go for has a heavy focus on the lips so when it comes to the eyes I use a very pale brown but with more mascara than I would use if I had done a smokey eye or there was more colour on my eye. The eyeshadow I use comes from the new palette from Maybelline called 'The Nude Palette'. The mascara I use also comes from Maybelline and it's called 'Lash Sensational'. Maybelline have amazing products especially in the eye area.

4) Finally, the lips. I go for a red lip and the lipstick I use is the Rimmel Kate Moss 107. I never used to use red lipsticks, but then I found this one and it was one of the best discoveries I have ever made in the make-up world. I would say that a red lip can make any make-up look!

Usually, my outfit would consist of three colours: black, white and grey. I hope you have enjoyed this post and it has given you and idea about what you might want to wear for the Winter and Christmas period. Please comment below what you wear during Winter and Christmas because I would like to know what you like to wear during Winter and Christmas..

October Favourites

As you may know, today is November 1st so that means an October favourites!! A lot of the favourites are actually taken from my Superdrug and Lush haul (last post) and I have used them in the past few days. I would just like to apologize for the quality of the photos because they were taken on my iPod touch which is like 4 years old.

Firstly is my Rimmel Kate Moss 107. I tried this yesterday so it just slips into October! I'm not the best at applying dark lipsticks so a red one gets very messy. To try and prevent this, I use a lip brush but doing this doesn't give the colour the boldness it deserves. i try and go over it without the brush put then I have to wipe it off because it goes everywhere and I have to start again. If anybody has any tips on how to apply red lipstick SUCCESSFULLY, please could you leave them in the comments below as you would be a real help!! On the other hand, this is such a nice and soothing lipstick especially if you use a lip balm before hand.

Next is my Sleek MakeUP brushes. As you can tell, they are not in the best condition and they need a really good clean but that's because they are my only makeup brushes and I use them constantly. From left to right they are: blusher brush, powder brush, foundation brush, eyeshadow brush, eye contour brush, lip brush. I am absolutely in love with these brushes because they apply easily and are soft on the skin (which I think is a bonus :))! I would recommend these brushes if you are beginning in makeup.

I heard everybody raging about this mascara so I instantly thought 'I need to buy this'. I grabbed it when I saw it and put it in my basket. I now understand why everyone was so excited about this. It isn't heavy on the eyes nor does it clump together. It really opens up you eyes and makes them stand out. I have blue eyes and it really emphasis the colour of them whilst wearing any eyeshadow. If you are looking for a new mascara BUY THIS!!!

I needed a new eyeshadow palette and I had seen this on Instagram. This has every nude colour you need in LIFE! My favourite colours from this eyeshadow palette are the gold ones (fourth from the left on the top and third from the left on the bottom). I love a gold shimmery eye with lots of mascara, a subtle cheek and a nude lip. I would love to do a smokey eye but I haven't mastered them yet so I need to practice a little more to perfect it.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and it has given you some insight into what I like and maybe it has given you some ideas on what you might want to purchase in the future. Please comment below your opinions on this post and if you would like me to do a November favourites. I appreciate all of your comments!!

Lush and Superdrug haul

Over the weekend, I was in London and whilst there, I popped into Westfield and picked up some items up from Lush and Superdrug. Unfortunately, I haven't got any pictures because my camera isn't working on my phone but you can see pictures at Superdrug and Lush.

Firstly, I went to Superdrug where I picked up three items. These items were:

  • Zoella reed diffuser
  • Zoella fragranced bath fizzers
  • Tanya Burr rosy flush cheek palette
I've been trying to find these products EVERYWHERE locally (Birmingham and West Bromwich) but I couldn't find them anywhere so when I saw Westfield, I knew they would definitely be in there. I found Zoella's new products and next to there was the Tanya Burr products so I was in my element. I've desperately been wanting the reed diffuser since I knew it had been released so I grabbed the last one which was there. I had also thought about buying the bath fizzers (which are limited edition for Christmas) so with them being there, I picked up thee jar. Recently, my bronzer and blush have been hitting pan so I needed some new ones. When Tanya released a set with I was so happy because I knew it would be reliable. I have never used a highlighter before so I am really excited about trying it out. The set even comes with a big mirror :)
The prices for these products are as follows:
  • Zoella reed diffuser - £12.00
  • Zoella fragranced bath fizzers - £9.00
  • Tanya Burr rosy flush cheek palette - £8.00
I then went to Lush. We were planning on going to the one on Oxford Street but it had hit rush hour and we didn't fancy standing on a tube with lots and lots of people around us. On the map it said there was a Lush so we went up there and entered the shop. I only discovered Lush this year when I started watching YouTube in February but it is the best discovery ever! When I saw all the Christmas products I had to smell them all but I only brought two and a product that is there all year round. I brought the 'So White' bath bomb and the bubble bar that every body goes crazy about 'Candy Moutain'. The product which is there all year round which I picked up is the bubblegum lip scrub which is amazing.

Once I have used all these products, I will produce you with some reviews on them (if you would like)!
If you enjoy any other Christmas or make-up products from Superdrug and Lush please leave them in the comments below because I enjoy reading which products you like!

Review of Blog

Now, you may be wondering 'what's with the weird title?' Well, if you hadn't noticed (you probably have) I don't post as regularly as I used to or as a regularly as other bloggers. So this blog post is just explaining why I haven't been posting as regularly.

Over the past two weeks, I have been very busy and tired because I have been to see One Direction (the best, sexiest band ever) and at a friend's birthday party on the days which I schedule to post. I also have a lot of school work to juggle as well as having a social life and writing this blog so it can become quite difficult sometimes.

In the comments below, I would like you to share tips on keeping your blogs up to date.
Your support is very much appreciated and I love you all lots.

Christmas Time!!

I've missed a couple of weeks (and I'm really sorry) but I've been really busy during the week to give updates. But this is today and here I go...

I think that CHRISTMAS is the best time of the year and I'm already starting my preparations. In this post, I'm going to explain how I personally prepare for CHRISTMAS!

1) I sort out my Christmas clothing such as jumpers, onesies, socks etc. You may think I am strange, but I have already done this section. I just enjoy Christmas alright?

2) Next I sort out the fashion and make-up style for that season/s. I have previously done a post on autumn style which you can view here. I will be doing a winter one in the upcoming weeks.

3) Complete all your Christmas shopping such as going to Lush. Now, I haven't done this bit yet but I will be doing this shortly as I really need to go to Lush and see all the Christmas/Halloween items they have in store.

So, those are my three simple steps to follow if you want to prepare for Christmas months before you can put up your decorations.

If you would like to share how you prepare for Christmas at this time (if you're Christmas mad like me), then please leave your thoughts in the comments below. All your comments are very much appreciated with all my heart!!
